Well, I promised my baby bootie pattern, this is the post! I have to say, booties are really fun, quick, and easy to make. In addition, once you know how to make them, it’s easy to whip up your own pattern and go from there. I’ve got some variations planned for this pattern already, and am excited to test them out.
These booties are going to be part of a Keep Baby Cozy set that, like the last set I posted, will include booties, mitts, and a hat. Eventually I plan to add other items to this set (like sweaters or blankets) but for now I’m keeping it simple.
Keep Baby Cozy booties
-H hook (5mm)
-medium weight baby yarn (I used Red Heart, weight 4)
-tapestry needle to weave in ends
sl st= slip stitch
hdc=half double crochet
Finished product measures 3-1/2 inches along sole, 3 inches height. Fits 2-3 month old.
When pattern says to decrease, you can sc2tog or use this invisible decrease, which is what I use to keep the bootie smooth.
